We’re all familiar with how fervor-building Target’s collaborations with popular designers can be. Remember Missoni? Now, the uber box-store continues to make great design accessible to all through their brand new program, The Shops at Target. The plan? Work directly with local boutique owners from around the country, co-create a limited-edition, affordable collection, and have it sold through Target and Target.com.
The first wave in this initiative includes Polka Dog Bakery, a dog treat bakery in Boston; The Candy Store, a posh candy store in San Francisco; Privet House, an antiques and home decor store in Connecticut; Cos Bar, a beauty store in Aspen; and The Webster, a clothing boutique in Miami. They will all be available May 6, 2012. To whet your appetite, here’s a peek at what Privet House has to offer!
