Illustrated recipes

These recipe illustrations from Claudia Pearson remind me of the joys of preparing a simple meal too often lost in our busy lives. The purity of her drawings, the focus on ingredients, and the concept of illustrating its process is a wonderful visual blueprint to the art of cooking.

She shops Brooklyn's farmers markets, where her meals are shaped by what is in season, and through chatting with the farmers, she has developed a connection with what she eats. To express this connection to simple ingredients, she collaborated with chef and culinary teacher, Sung Uni Lee to create print art. Hang them on your kitchen wall, and you have a visual cookbook. Find the entire recipes on Claudia’s blog. Find her prints on Etsy.
